my boy lollipop!

well, another proud mommy moment for me... hehehe  not really because he's eating lollipop now, but because he figured out on his own what to do with it after his daddy lolo handed him an unwrapped lollipop...

he had not seen anyone eat a lollipop before, nor was he thought what to do... he just stared at it for a few seconds then tried to shoot it in his mouth... he was so careful with the stick himself... then he figured out he can take it out of his mouth again and put it back if he wants to have another taste... :-) hahaha... indeed small things make mommies jump for joy! heeee!

and just a side note... he's really not into sweets, he prefers fish (tilapia most specially!),  veggies (specially an ilonggo dish called "laswa" - a combination of saluyot, alugbati, malunggay, talong and okra with fish or bagoong all boiled together), and fruits (guave, tambis and banana in particular)... well this is another proud mommy thingy which deserves a separate post... :D stage mom in the making over here!!! :D

  3. For some reason, my BabyLove also knew what to do with a lollipop. Well, I guess because it's the instinct of kids to put stuff in their mouth, good or not. :D

  8. I think it is a child's instinct to put everything in the mouth. It is good that your kiddo love healthy foods but the introduction of artificial sweets might ruin his appetite for not-so-sweet veggies. But of course as a mom, we are always happy with our child's progress and they never fail to amaze us :)

  9. So cute! My daughter as well can eat anything. But I'm trying as much as I can for them not to eat sweets especially chocolates. My daughter is 3yo and I'm afraid that she'll have cavities soon. Hayst! I have the feeling we'll visit a Dentist for the first time, hehehe!

  11. That's cute! He seems to be enjoying it a lot. :-) Oh, just be careful because some lollipops are not well-attached to the stick. I think it's best that he sticks to veggies, fish, and all of those healthy foods. :-)

  12. He is loving his lollipop so much, so cute! Good thing he liked veggies, I have trouble feeding my sons with veggies to the point I have to hide the veggies under the rice and cover with catsup, huhu! You call it in Ilonggo Laswa but I was told its called Diningding in Ilocano, haha!

  13. Maybe it's an instinct for us how to eat a lollipop! But we should watch over our young children to prevent them from injuring themselves with the plastic stick.

  21. My kids had their first taste of lollipop when they were three years old. I was afraid they'd choke on it when they were younger. Don't let your little one keep the lollipop inside his mouth for a long time and make sure he drinks water after eating anything sweet.

  22. yay, he didn't throw it out. Did he keep touching it though and made his hands all sticky? I wonder how my nephew's first candy experience will be like.

  23. Yeah better to give him healthy food without much preservatives (like in processed food) at an early age. Then he won't be so picky with food. I used to hate eating anything but fried chicken. My lola used to sit beside me in meals just to watch me eat veggies. ( T-T) *torture*
