here's something that you won't find when you google for a place to stay in bohol! :) if you're on a budget trip and not very particular for a luxurious stay, this tree house is surely a great find!!! :) not only is it cheap...but it shares the same beach stretch with Bohol Beach Club!!! :D
The Dumaluan beach is the best beach in the Panglao island. It only has 2 resorts - Bohol Beach Club and Dumaluan Beach resort...which both consciously keeps the beach front clean.... The Dumaluan Beach Resort is cheaper than Bohol Beach Club. But it is still expensive for budget travellers like us. But the good thing about this resort is that they created an area where they built bamboo-made cottages, which are rented out at a cheaper rate.
we were almost decided to stay in Tagbilaran... was a bit discouraged kasi when I was reading about Alona beach... good thing Ezra's friend Shiela already went to Bohol and stayed in this tree house... so on the last minute we decided to change reservations :D
the place is big enough to house 7 or even 8 people... but the rent of Php1,500 is only good for 4 people (with mattress and linens provided)...there will be a Php100 charge for every additional head plus Php125 more if you want extra beddings. Since we were 7, our average per head cost is at Php310.50. not bad right?
The shower and comfort rooms are common. There are other cottages in the area. But the bathrooms are well made and are kept real clean. :) The Php300++ is really worth it!
This is the beach front of the bamboo-cottages of Dumaluan Resort. Not a good view here, the beach was really mad with waves... this was during the Ondoy weekend. That is the same beach which stretches for some kilometers that's being shared with Bohol Beach Club.
There's a bar below the tree house. :)
... other bamboo-cottages in the area. Some of these costs Php1,000 per 4pax and some are at Php1,200 per 4pax. On the other side of that bamboo fence is already the Bohol Beach Club.
You may make reservations for these cottages through the contact information available in this website: Dumaluan Beach Resort. They usually dont require advance payments, so a phone call is good enough to reserve the place.
