why do i love being a mom?

do i need to explain pa? hehehe :-) just look at this picture... this was taken when Pao was less than a week old (4 or 5 days i think)...and he had been giving us this "i'm so happy" smile ever since...

his looks and size may have change one year after but not a day passed without this smile! even during his uneasy nights due to teeth growth and slight diarrhea he still smiles like this... even after mommy went away for 2 days he still gave me this smile...
i had always been trying to be a toughy... trying not to get too attached to any person emotionally just to ensure i have my walls up so i won't get hurt in any way... but this little man right here changed all that. i used to hate feeling emotionally vulnerable but i don't mind that anymore... :-) somebody had taught me how to open up to love, and this boy is teaching me that indeed loving is such a wonderful thing to experience in life and it's ok to feel even the nasty feelings attached to loving. :-)  gulo ba? hehe

being a mommy is one of those things that a woman should have in her "things to experience before i die" list... it's as exciting as traveling to new places and more! :-)

  1. I comment all moms for the sacrifice and profound love they give to their family. I am not yet one but as an adult, I am keen to what my mom does to us and how my sister-in-laws lovingly take care of their children :)

  6. Babies can soften the hearts of everyone. Not only because they're so cute but they're also helpless. They tug at your hearts to love them and protect them.

--> this one touched my heart (dati kasi takot din ako magmahal ng sobra sa isang tao, ewan ko para kasing pag sinaktan ka niya, tripleng sakit yung mararamdaman mo, pero hindi pala dapat ganun, mas masarap magmahal kapag walang pag-aalinlangan ^^.)

I admire all the moms out there like you :) they give such an exceptional care and unconditional love

  14. There is no greater joy than being a Mommy! Since Joko is a young man now, being a Mommy now has a different angle. But, we really laugh out loud when we talk about the crazy things he did before... and in fact, everyone in the department miss that, too!

  15. I love being a mom too. It's like a roller coaster ride. My son can make my world upside down. I know moms know how they can turn our moods from being happy to being so worry.

Hope you're resting well and nurturing the new baby within you right now :)
