sta cruz island 2010! (sol&gie's trip)

this is still part of the 2-day trip of sol & gie here in zambo... the primary reason sol really came back... she missed going to Sta Cruz Island during her last trip here. :-) i've invited officemates as well... i didn't expect we would reach 20 headcounts! :D

this is my 3rd time to go to the island.... but this is the first time that the banca used was bigger...and with "katig" too! it's not as scary as the smaller bancas. :-)guy here is RJ. we met him while we were waiting for the 2nd trip (naiwan kami ng group talaga namin). He was going there alone so inampon na namin sya. :-)



i made sure i brought this big umbrella. It made it easier for us to stay longer away from our cottages. :-) we were able to rest with a shade everytime we're tired soaking ourselves. :-)

when we found out that there will be 7 groups going to sta cruz island that day i was worried the beach would be too crowded... but good thing it wasn't as i've expected. it's as if we still had the beach all to ourselves... i guess the other groups are afraid of the sun so it was just us who stayed most of the time on the beach. :D



color accent mode! :-) love how this turned out... we haven't been there for so long but im getting red already (it also shows when i setup ixus to do a red color accent hehe)



gie's cam was a nice Canon Powershot... i suppose RJ's into photog too... he was the one who took these photos... for the first time gie's cam's wonderful functions were used here. hehehe i like how these photos turned out. :D



CMZ gang found something fun to entertain themselves... :-)



Joel was really serious about his part in all these... :D poor kathy! hehe

was trying to recreate the shot i did with Julie last year which really caught the pinkness of the sand... asked them to do this pose... some pinkness was still captured though... :D



underwater shots galore! :-) i super love sta cruz island's underwater... very clear plus that bonus deep blue background... :-)



the funny duo! it's always nice to have these 2 in every lakad... nakakadagdag ng kabaliwan... (more like our kris-rocky tandem back in GE hehe)



here's more underwater action... i asked them to swim in front of me instead of just going under for a shot... :-) some of them has the skill to do it... but gie in particular doesn't seem to be moving hehehe

my vanity portion... hehe actually i was trying to do a different shot underwater... i was trying to take a photo including the sand part.... here's some of my attempts... :D



the 3 of us didn't get a decent underwater shot together... here's the best we've got... :D



i was trying to figure out what's causing the deep blue a few meters away from where we are... i've tried to look at it with goggles.... it seems like there's a cliff-like part underwater... particularly in that blue part already. that's my next assignment the next time il be in that island.



i thought gie my sunglass shot trick... :D



trying to copy the shot i did for kuya jods before in Bataan (i cant remember where i got the idea)... this is the only shot that is close to what we wanted to achieve... :D



vanity again... i still found time to shoot with one of my fave dress. :-)

i was able to bring tumtum again! this is the 2nd time that i have him on my trip... :-) he was with me in Mt.Pinatubo last year too!!! beach mode for tumtum this time...

these kids are pasaway... they insisted on bringing pink sand with them... hehehe remember: TAKE NOTHING BUT PICTURES, LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS, KILL NOTHING BUT TIME. :-)



ang walang kamatayang multiple shots... we didnt have a tripod with us so RJ held the camera while we had our shots hehe :D
