we were able to attend only a portion of the whole ceremony....

traditional muslim wedding with their traditional clothes...

colorful entourage... love their dresses...

the day started with the bride and groom in their respective houses. the groom went to the bride's place through this car, followed by his family and friends...

throughout the trip this gong was being played.

and of course muslim food was served for lunch. they usually serve it this way (or sometimes in a big "bilao"). the one in the middle is called "chula itum", even non-muslims in zamboanga love this dish. it's actually good.

even the dessert served were traditional muslim as well. mostly made of flour and sugar. the orange one was with Royal True Orange hence the color.
