Dapitan: going around town

here's a mini tour around the town of Dapitan... i love how it feels sooo laid back... :-)

bridge from Dapitan's town to Rizal Shrine and Dakak Beach Resort... i can imagine that this used to be a typical wooden bridge during Rizal's time and this is his route everytime he goes to the town for Sunday mass or for whatever. :-)

you can still spot old houses around... i noticed almost all houses here are big...the town felt really spacious... :-)

oh and they have Sunday markets along the street too! i can remember how i'm loving these once-a-week-all-out markets in my father's hometown before... you can find the freshest vegetables and other stuff farmers would bring... :-)

i happen to see this yellow and green bus going around Dapitan... I catched the sign on the side and it says Dipolog...so i supposed this is the kind of transpo when you want to go to Dipolog... well.. i'm just assuming. :-) hehe

i love how very historical Dapitan is... almost all streets are named after our heroes... :-)

time to leave Dapitan now.... i'm glad we were able to have a short drive around (kakahanap ng gasoline station hihihi) before we head back to Dipolog... we had a blast Dapitan!!! it was very relaxing and rockin' fun at the same time. :-)

  3. Hi again. Thanks for sharing your IT on another blog. Galing talaga ng site mo. It is very helpful. We will be going to Dipolog-Dapitan-Ozamis on May 26-May 30 kasi. That is why I asked a copy of your IT. It looks like it is better to stay for one night at Villa Pillar than stay the whole time at Dakak. Para different places kami everyday before going to Ozamis.

  4. hello! :) wow! thanks ha, im glad im able to help... :-)

one night lang ba kayo sa dapitan? kasi if oo then better stay in Villa Pilar nga para you can try Fantasyland pa, lalo na if wala kayong sasakyan to drive back to Dakak... :-)

but i think it would be nice to experience dakak at night din... may mga naririnig kasi ako its nice din daw dun pag gabi. :-)

enjoy!!! Dipolog and dapitan are really nice!!! im in loooove with the 2! :D

  5. Hi.

One night lang kami sa Dapitan. Dating kasi namin sa Dipolog noon time na so magstay na lang kami one night at Villa Pillar then punta ng Fantasyland para sulit. Puro lang din kasi Dipolog and Dapitan tours gagawin namin the whole afternoon. Next day sa Dakak kami whole day then overnight.

By the way ano pala maganda puntahan sa Dipolog if you ony have two hours including lunch? and also do you know any van rentals in Dipolog?

    Thanks.

  6. 2hours... hmn.... yung mga napuntahan namin na nasa town lang... you can cover it in 2hrs... :-) check my dipolog posts (wag nyo na isama ang Linabo Peak unless dun lang kayo sa baba...)

you'll find goodtimes cafe good too. :-)

wala po akong alam na van rental sa dipolog... we had my friend's brother lend us his pickup kasi kaya di na kami nghanap... :-) if sa town lang naman kayo iikot you dont need one na... kasi halos magkakalapit lang... mgtryk na lang kayo faster and cheaper pa. :-)
