
This is supposedly where Rizal first stepped Dapitan when he was thrown here for exile. I supposed they arrived while it was still dark (notice the lamp held by one of his guards hehe)

I think this was created not only as a landmark but a park as well. notice the big space on the sides and at the back of the statue.

and we have to take our photo from the back because of the sun's position at the time we were there. :-)

you'll have a good view of the whole stretch of the beach side of the Sunset boulevard. :-)
