Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Church (Guiwan, Zamboanga City)

12th church stop. finally!!! this was our last church visited... we stayed longer here. that visit was my first time in Guiwan parish church... this is a newer structure i think... the first time i saw this some years before my first impression was that it's exuding some rough air... it's too concrete... but this visit changed my views about this church... despite being concrete all over, i love the flow of the breeze in and around the church... we were all tired from the 3-5hours of visita iglesia and this church offered us a place to breath before heading home....

i just find the ceiling's design a bit unusual...

a very simple altar... but it feels very "welcoming". I prefer churches like this, you won't get intimidated or something like it... :-)

there's just one thing i want to point out... this only dawned on me while i'm doing this post... notice in all the photos in this posts would show you that Guiwan's church has this theme of HUGE circles/arcs all over the church... i guess that's what's giving the impression of huge space... nice! :-)
a portion of the tiled floor... notice that almost every portion of the church somehow have HUGE circles or arcs on it (check the ceiling and altar photo above and the door below)?

very bulky door.... still carrying the HUGE circles/arcs theme... :-)

church's courtyard view from the inside through the grand door...

the church's roof had some saints' statue placed... reminds me of the gargoyles in Anastacia. :-)
here's a nice way to end our long visita iglesia trip... we found a nice backdrop for a little vanity shoot... the wooden doors at the side of the church is perfect for this intention... hehehehe i'm a little over 4months pregnant in this photo. :-)
